Karmveer Dr.Mamasaheb Jagdale was a great social worker and eminent educationalist in Maharashtra. He established a very popular and well-known institution in 1934 at Barshi in the district of Solapur. It was Shivaji Maratha Boarding in the beginning. Afterwards it is known as Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Barshi. The earnest intention to establish such an institution was to provide the opportunity of education for the children of poor farmers in rural area. Mamasaheb dedicated his whole life to enlighten the society. He sacrificed his personal life for the social life.
