B.P.Ed. Regular course was started in our college from June 1972. It was the earnest desire of Late Karmveer Dr.Mamasaheb Jagdale to prepare best physical education teachers in rural area. B.P.Ed. stands for Bachelor in Physical Education. Initially B.P.Ed. was a one year course. From the academic year 2015-16, B.P.Ed. is a two year professional regular course. This course is done after completing the graduation in any faculty (discipline). B.P.Ed. course is a great opportunity for those who aspire to go in teaching line. This course prepares the students for secondary levels in accordance with the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). After completing the course successfully, one can get a job in government, government aided, Unaided or private, self-financed Marathi or English medium schools. In order to get a job as a Sports teacher or Physical Education teacher it is mandatory to complete the training of B.P.Ed. In India NCTE is the only statutory body which regulates this course. State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State, Mumbai invites applications from the interested candidates for the admission of B.P.Ed. (Regular) Course. The MAH- B.P.Ed. CET examination is conducted annually by the Directorate of Higher Education, State & Government of Maharashtra. It is mandatory that the candidates who wish to appear for MAH B.P.Ed. CET examinations register themselves for the examination. This examination is conducted for the candidates who wish to take admission in the first year of two year full time regular course in Bachelor of Physical Education offered by the government, the university managed, and an aided institute in the state of Maharashtra. It is certained that the selected eligible candidates will be provided with the best provisions to achieve their academic skills and will most certainly become the best physical education teachers of their generation after the completion of their course.
