Social service is a compulsory practicum in teacher education programme. Teacher should develop social values. Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University,Solapur has included social service practicum in B.Ed. course.
Objectives-
To enable the Student-Teacher-
- To help to understand the concept of social service.
- To help to acquire the knowledge about the contribution in social development of social service.
- To introduce various programmes and saints for social development.
- To help to understand the need of interactions between society and educational institutions.
- To help to motivate to participate in social development.
- To develop various qualities regarding social service such as dignity of labour, social commitment, cooperation, sympathy etc.
- To help to understand responsibility and role of teacher as a factor of society.
